Wave of the Winter Went Off! Big waves. Big cheques. Even bigger dance moves.
Fatboy threw open the roller doors for a night celebrating the Sydney region’s finest chargers. Wave of the Winter Night brought together surfers, friends, family and a few questionable dance moves.
After a winter of heavy pits, wipeouts and some serious commitment to going over the ledge, it was time to put the spotlight on the crew who went above and beyond. The hooting and hollering was in full force as we looked back over some of the craziest rides of the season. The votes were counted, the dust settled and the results were finally in.
Our very own Kash Brown took out Best Wave, claiming the Wave of the Winter crown, while Xavier Stark earned himself Hardest Charging Grom for putting it all on the line and chasing harder than the rest.
Once the Champagne showers concluded, Little Fritter and special Guest Wongo grabbed hold of the decks and lit up the Warehouse for an incredible night of dance. With the roller doors open and liquid courage from our friends at Fellr and Stone & Wood in hand, we saw out the night in style with good times and enough sore heads to know it was a night well spent.
