Where do I take my Fatboy Bike for repairs?
If it is general wear and tear on your Fatboy e-bike, you can take it to any local Bike store for repairs. We also have a servicing and repair department at our Fatboy HQ in Caringbah NSW. If there is an issue with any parts on the bike please get in contact with us and if it is found to be a manufacturing issue, it will be covered under warranty during the warranty period. You can submit a warranty claim via our website.

Product Information
Are the Fatboy Bikes legal in Australia?
Our bikes come speed restricted to 25km/h (200watts) which meet the Australian regulations for electric power assisted bikes. Each state has slightly different requirements in regards to what defines an ebike (EPAC). We do encourage all our customers to check their local state laws as these are updated regularly. Our bikes come fitted with a throttle and isolator which mean they can be turned on for private property use or off to meet local regulations. Our bike models can be speed unlocked for private use only once a compliance has been signed.
On February 2023, the government gave recognition to the NSW Minister for Metropolitan Roads for amending the Road Transport Act 2013’s provisions limiting the maximum power of e-bike motors permitted on public roads.
No – electric bikes do not need to be registered and can be used as a normal bicycle. They do have to be sold speed restricted to 25km/h and all riders must follow local road rules in the same manner as a regular bicycle rider. We ask our customers to register their serial number with us in the unfortunate case their bike is stolen, we can keep a record of the details and serial number if needed.
How fast is a Fatboy Bike?
Fatboy e-bikes are restricted to 25km/h to meet public speed limit regulations, however can be unlocked to 50km/h for use on private property only.
What is the range on Fatboy Bikes and how long will my battery last?
The range is approximately 50km-100km using pedal assist and the battery has a life span of 1000+ charges. This varies between models, please check specifications for each model.
How long to the Fatboy Bikes take to assemble?
All our bikes come 95% assembled with both wheels already installed. All you have to do is attach the handlebars and pedals, give it a once over and you're ready to hit the road. Assembly takes approx 15-20 minutes and is very quick and easy.
Yes all our Fatboy e-bikes come fitted with rear passenger footpegs included - no assembly required.
Do you have a height and weight recommendation for Fatboy e-bikes?
No height restrictions. Weight restriction is up to 180kgs.
How much does a Fatboy e-bike weigh?
Approximately 46kg.
What is the weight restrictions of your bikes?
Our bikes can carry up to 180kg maximum. The rear shock comes factory set to 160kg however this can be adjusted to suit the weight required. For more information please contact us.
Are your bikes water resistant?
Yes, however they cannot be completely submerged in water or hosed when cleaning.
Do e-bikes require maintenance?
Yes, they require one service per year or 500km, whichever comes first.

When will my order ship?
Fatboy Bikes are shipped daily from our factory, unless on pre-order due to high demand. Please contact us to find out if your preferred bike is on back-order.
Do you offer express shipping or delivery?.
Unfortunately not as these are a bulky item.
Do you offer in-store order pick-ups?
Yes, if ordered from one of our stockists. You can also arrange with our customer service team to pick up direct from our factory.

Orders, Returns & Cancellation Policy
What is your returns policy?
Returns within 7 days in original unopened packaging at customers expense will qualify for a full refund. Please see our returns policy for full terms at www.fatboybikes.com.au
How can I return my item?
Please contact us at hello@fatboybikes.com.au to complete a returns form. You will need to use one of our trusted couriers for oversized returns so that we can ensure no damage and please include the returns form.
I just placed an order but would like to add something on, is this possible?
Yes, if your order has not been dispatched then we can add additional items to your order. However, if your initial order has already been shipped we will send out two separate orders and your second order may be subject to delivery costs. Please get in contact with our customer service team if you would like to add additional items to your order. Additional items must be in stock.
How can I cancel my order?
Cancellation requests for in-stock bike orders must be submitted within 24 hours of the order confirmation at no penalty. Cancellation requests submitted after the first 24 hours will be subject to delivery costs.

What is your warranty period?
Our warranty period is 2 years or 10,000kms on all parts and electrical components. Please see our product warranty page for more information.
Does the warranty transfer when I sell my e-bike if still within the warranty period?
Yes – please be sure to register your bike for warranty on our website to ensure any claims are tracked and covered.
I have had a flat tire, is it covered under warranty?
No, as flat tyres are caused by wear and tear. We can assist you with replacement tyres and tubes. Please contact us if you would like to order spare parts.
