About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bike Mechanic with strong e-bike knowledge to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, assembling, and maintaining both traditional bicycles and electric bikes to the highest standard.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about cycling technology, takes pride in quality workmanship, and enjoys working in a fast-paced workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair bicycles and e-bikes.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on e-bike systems.
- Assemble new bikes and complete pre-delivery inspections (PDIs).
- Perform routine servicing including: Brakes, Drivetrains, Suspension, Wheel repairs and truing
- Install and configure e-bike components, including: Motors, Batteries, Displays and Controllers
- Use diagnostic software and specialist tools for major e-bike systems.
- Maintain accurate workshop records and service reports.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards.
- Provide customers with technical advice and product recommendations.
- Assist with warranty assessments and claims when required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a bicycle mechanic is essential.
- Experience working with e-bikes and electrical systems is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Sound knowledge of modern bicycle and e-bike components.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage workshop priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant trade experience as a bicycle or e-bike mechanic.
- Experience with Shimano, Bafang, or similar e-bike systems.
- Current Australian driver's licence preferred.

Position Summary
The Cafe Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the cafe, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient business performance, and a positive team culture.
This role oversees staff management, food and beverage quality, inventory control, financial performance, and compliance with health and safety standards while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee the daily operation of the cafe, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Open and close the café according to company procedures.
- Ensure the café is clean, organized, and maintained to a high standard at all times.
- Monitor workflow to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
- Provide ad-hoc retail assistance in the Fatboy HQ shop, including serving customers, processing sales, and maintaining product displays.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop cafe + retail staff.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and motivated team environment.
- Lead by example through professionalism and strong work ethic.
Customer Service
- Ensure every customer receives friendly, efficient, and professional service.
- Maintain high standards of hospitality and customer engagement.
- Handle complaints and service recovery effectively.
- Encourage repeat business through exceptional customer experiences.
Financial Management
- Manage daily cash handling and reconciliation.
- Control operating expenses while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist with budgeting and achieving sales targets.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly business performance.
Inventory & Stock Control
- Order food, beverages, and operational supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and minimize waste.
- Conduct regular stocktakes.
- Manage supplier relationships and deliveries.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations.
- Maintain health and safety standards for staff and customers.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained.
- Complete required compliance documentation and records.
Marketing & Business Development
- Support promotional campaigns and seasonal initiatives.
